During a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission meeting in 2014, Ducks Unlimited Director of Conservation Programs Craig LeSchack made a presentation on the impact of Florida's contributions to the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies state grants program. This presentation provided an opportunity to explain to the commission how the Sunshine State's annual contribution of $35,000 can be leveraged by DU to deliver waterfowl habitat conservation in Manitoba.

From 2003 to 2014, Ducks Unlimited has leveraged the state's total contributions of $300,000 to generate more than $31.2 million for conservation. These funds have helped restore and protect nearly 360,000 acres of prime waterfowl breeding habitat in Canada.
