MEMPHIS, Tenn. Aug.12, 2022 Kenneth Jack Morris of Milton, Del., is the winner of the 2022 Ducks Unlimited (DU) National Scholarship.

Morris served as the secretary of the DU Varsity Sussex Tech High School Chapter in Georgetown, Del., before taking over as the committee chairman his senior year.

The DU Varsity program is for high school students across the United States.

DU Chairman of the Board Doug Schoenrock called Morris to break the news.

It was an honor to be the first to congratulate Jack on his outstanding accomplishments, said Schoenrock. This years class of scholarship applicants was extremely competitive. It feels great to give back to this select group of young men and women who have represented their communities in such a positive manner.

Morris was recognized at DUs 85th National Convention in New Orleans during the Wings Over Wetlands Awards Gala.

In addition to the $10,000 national scholarship, DU awarded 60 scholarships to deserving high school seniors from across the country: 10 conservation scholarships for $1,000 and 50 varsity scholarships for $500.

Applications are reviewed by a volunteer selection committee appointed by DU Advisory Senior Vice President to the National Youth and Education Committee, Ken Carroll.

I am humbled to be a part of this process and I am proud of Jack and the entire class of 2022 DU scholarship recipients, Carroll said. This marks the fifth year Ducks Unlimited has awarded scholarships to high school seniors who are members or volunteers for the organization. Programs like this give me hope for the future of waterfowling and conservation.
