MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Oct. 7, 2019 - Bass Pro Shops at the Memphis Pyramid will host the 2019 Flocktoberfest, the world's greatest waterfowl hunting expo and sale, beginning Thursday, Oct. 3, and featuring the National and Regional Calling Championship scheduled for Oct. 12.

"Flocktoberfest is one of the many ways Bass Pro Shops shows their support for waterfowl conservation and DU's mission," said DU Chief Executive Officer Adam Putnam. "Come celebrate conservation with us at the Pyramid, visit the Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center and listen to some of the best waterfowl callers in the world."

This year marks the fifth annual Big Cypress National Calling Championship, the Ducks Unlimited Regional Qualifier Contest and junior and intermediate calling contests that will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Fred Zink, founder of Zink Calls, the official calls of DU, will appear Saturday, Oct. 12 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Justin Martin from Duck Commander will host a meet and greet at 3 p.m., and inside will have live music from the Grassfire Bluegrass Band, Rebel Engine Recording Artist, Stephanie Quayle and The River Bluff Clan.

The annual exhibition includes free hunting seminars from industry pros including Josh Miller, SportDOG Brand and Owner of River Stone Kennels, Tim Wells, host of the television show "Relentless Pursuit" and Tony Vandemore, waterfowl ambassador and owner of Habitat Flats.

Other Flocktoberfest events include the Super Retriever Series featuring jumps performed by the top sporting dogs in the country and the 2019 Flocktoberfest cornhole tournament, free activities for the kids and more.
