The Tiger Chapter located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is DU's first university chapter spotlight. This dedicated group of university volunteers raised more than $247,000 making them the no. 1 university chapter in the country for 2018. Their commitment to going the extra mile each year can be attributed to good leadership and local support.

"Our alumni and local sponsors go above and beyond to help us be a successful chapter," said Gunther Spore, Tiger Chapter area chairman. "We have an extremely motivated committee and people are very proactive in getting the job done. Our chapter advisor, Dr. Luke Laborde, is also incredibly supportive of our chapter and we would not be able to do what we do without his help."

The university chapter program is growing every year thanks to the tireless efforts of university volunteers and the mentors that help them along the way.

"Our university program is such a huge part of our fundraising system," said Mark Horobetz, DU's Manager of Youth and Education. "Anyone can be involved in Ducks Unlimited. You don't have to hunt, you just have to have a passion for wetland habitat."
