The small South Carolina towns of Hemingway and Johnsonville continue to support one of the state's finest Ducks Unlimited chapters. With a population of less than 2,500 between these neighboring towns, the Pee Dee River Basin Chapter continually produces a full hall as supporters come from all over the region to enjoy their annual dinner. Last year, the Pee Dee River Basin Chapter earned President's Top 100 honors for the fourth year in a row, and their February 2010 dinner event put them on course to do it again.

"Our sponsor support is the foundation for the success we enjoy," said Derek Williams, the chapter's co-chairman. "We've got a great sponsor chairman and the committee works on this part of the equation first as we prepare for our event each year. Without our sponsor support, we would not have been able to do as well as we have over these past few years."

Attracting 400 attendees, 48 of whom were sponsors, this chapter pushed harder than ever to make the most out of this year's event.

"A special congratulations to the Pee Dee River Basin Chapter in Hemingway and Johnsonville, S.C., for their continued success on behalf of DU," said Doug Saunders, DU regional director in South Carolina. "There is not a finer family-oriented event anywhere in the state. I take a lot of pride in my different chapters, especially the Pee Dee River Basin Chapter, who should continue to make strong performances in the future."
