RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Ducks Unlimited has announced that Oregon has achieved the prestigious distinction of being named the #1 State Campaign Committee in the Nation for 2025, an honor recognizing outstanding volunteer leadership, philanthropic commitment and statewide conservation impact.
As a volunteer-led organization, Ducks Unlimited relies on its passionate supporters to advance its mission of conserving, restoring, and managing wetlands across North America. With more than 30,000 volunteers nationwide and over 4,000 annual fundraising events, State Campaign Committees serve as vital connectors between local chapters, state leadership, and staff. Working together, these volunteers help secure both outright and planned gift commitments that fuel major conservation efforts such as DU’s Wings and Wetlands Initiative.
Led by State Campaign Chair Greg Parrott, Oregon’s State Campaign Committee delivered a record-breaking year of fundraising, stewardship and sponsor engagement. The committee successfully welcomed new Major Sponsors and Feather Society Members, while continuing to cultivate strong relationships with longstanding supporters.
In a historic first, Oregon Ducks Unlimited surpassed $1 million in revenue across each of its top fundraising categories: Event Fundraising, Major Gifts, and Planned Gifts. This milestone marks an unprecedented achievement for the state and highlights the collective dedication of Oregon’s volunteers, donors, and conservation champions.
“I would like to thank everyone that has been involved in this accomplishment” Parrott said. “All the Oregon volunteers, with the backing, guidance, and support of the DU professional staff, have been the reason for our success this past year. I am so grateful for our team of dedicated people here in Oregon who are passionate about our cause.”
This national recognition reflects not only the tireless efforts of the Oregon State Campaign Committee, but also the broader community of Ducks Unlimited event volunteers and donors across the state. Their shared commitment ensures that wetlands are protected and that the skies remain filled with waterfowl today, tomorrow, and forever.
