MeadWestvaco and DU Partner in South Carolina

Ducks Unlimited recently partnered with the MeadWestvaco Corporation (MWV) to create an impoundment for waterfowl on the Featherbed Plantation in South Carolina's Lowcountry. This partnership presents great opportunities for future wetland conservation projects in this historically important area for waterfowl. DU is also working with MWV to explore several other habitat enhancement opportunities.
"MWV and DU share a deep commitment to land stewardship that enhances wildlife habitat and creates recreational opportunities," said Kenneth T. Seeger, president of MWV Community Development and Land Management. "By partnering with DU, we've created unique and valuable habitat for migratory waterfowl. The upland impoundment on Featherbed Plantation offers an opportunity to experience waterfowl hunting at its best in the Lowcountry of South Carolina."
