In September, Ducks Unlimited formally dedicated a 370-acre wetland restoration project on Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area, bordering Utah's Great Salt Lake, to the late Doug Miller, longtime outdoor television show host and devoted DU volunteer. Guests attending the dedication ceremony included Miller's wife, Marilyn; daughter, Karen Coleman; and members of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, a key partner on this project.

"Doug's contribution to conservation was widely known through his television programs, but he was honored to join with sportsmen and women for the common cause of bringing "more bucks for ducks,' as only he could say in his unmistakable, fun and sincere way," said Phil Douglas, northern region conservation outreach manager for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
