Memphis, Tenn. - September 7, 2017 - Ben Vaughn was named Ducks Unlimited's (DU) New Regional Director of the Year for his outstanding efforts as a staff member this past fundraising season. This award is given to a new regional director who shows exceptional growth in their first year as a staff member.

 

"Ben assumed the responsibilities of Delaware DU over a year ago and has continued to build on the great community of supporters and volunteers in the First State," said Joe Rowan, DU director of fundraising and volunteer relations. "We are proud to have Ben on the Delaware team. He hit the ground running and has not looked back."

 

Vaughn, a resident of Smyma, Del., covers Delaware, and works with volunteer committees in this area hosting fundraisers for the 80-year-old conservation organization. Vaughn also received the Grand Slam Award - an award that highlights increase in total revenue, total attendance and volunteers at events.
