In the midst of March Madness the Purdue Collegiate Chapter of Ducks Unlimited has made the Sweet 16 both on and off the court. The lone Hoosier state chapter has made great strides in four short years.

"Hard work and dedication of the student committee and a great deal of support from the community are the keys to success," says Cody Marks, vice chairman of the Purdue Chapter. "We set a goal at the end of our 2007 fund-raising campaign to get into the top 16 in the country, and worked hard to achieve that goal all throughout 2008."

This goal and commitment not only earned the chapter its spot in the Sweet 16 but also the Presidential Citation Award for 2008.

"The Purdue University chapter has harvested some outstanding young adults, who I believe are certain to become our next DU leaders," says Dave Neal, regional director of Northern Indiana.

Purdue Ducks Unlimited looks forward to the upcoming year and continuing their successful fundraising efforts. The chapter is scheduled to hold their fifth banquet in 2009 For more information on the Purdue DU chapter, visit their Web page at www.purdue.edu/ducks.
