MEMPHIS, Tenn. Oct. 7, 2020 Ducks Unlimited is pleased to announce the launch of Wetlands America, the journal of Wetlands America Trust (WAT), the land trust of Ducks Unlimited.

This annual, conservation-focused magazine promotes the continental conservation mission and achievements of WAT, Ducks Unlimited Inc., DU Canada and Ducks Unlimited de Mxico. In addition, the magazine celebrates the many benefits this work provides to people and wildlife across North America.

Wetlands America magazine showcases Ducks Unlimiteds amazing conservation accomplishments across North America, said Wetlands America Trust President Steve Maritz. This publication captures the beauty of the world on the printed page by sharing stunning photography of breathtaking landscapes and wildlife. Visually captivating graphics also help us tell our story in a concise and reader-friendly way.

The publication complements the award-winning Ducks Unlimited magazine as an exciting new benefit for DU sponsors, major donors and volunteer leaders, who receive a printed copy of the magazine. All DU members and the general public have access to the digital version at www.wetlandsamericatrust.org.

As a DU volunteer for nearly 50 years and former WAT president, I couldnt be more thrilled with this new magazine, said founding President of WAT and current trustee Jim Kennedy. This new publication ushers in a new era for DUs philanthropic outreach and shows just how those dollars benefit the wild places we all love.

Featured articles highlight how DUs science-based, on-the-ground conservation work is making a difference for wildlife and people. The magazine shares inspiring stories of key DU supporters as well as corporate and foundation partners who are helping put crucial habitat on the ground across this continent.

Wetlands America magazine tells our conservation story in a bold, beautiful way, said DU CEO Adam Putnam. The Ducks Unlimited brand is synonymous with waterfowlers leading the way for wetlands conservation today and for generations to come. Less well known has been our land trust, Wetlands America Trust, which holds the title to over 450,000 acres of protected habitat easements. By focusing this new magazine and digital platform on our continental conservation work, we can reach new audiences who share our values and showcase our conservation work that brings tremendous benefits to our quality of life including cleaner water, reducing impacts of flooding, and protecting critical habitat for our fish and wildlife resources. I would like to thank the volunteers, corporate partners and staff who have made this vision a reality, especially during the difficult Covid-19 era. Weve been through tough times before but our focus on the mission is as passionate as ever.
