MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Sept. 22, 2021 – Ducks Unlimited (DU) is pleased to continue their sponsorship of National Hunting and Fishing Day (NHF Day), set for Sept. 25.

NHF Day celebrates hunting, target shooting and fishing with national, state, regional and local organizations hosting related events. Established by Congress in 1971, NHF Day recognizes hunters and anglers for their wildlife and conservation leadership.

Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris is a great supporter of NHF Day and his Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, Mo., is the official home of the celebration.

Each year, thousands of people attend NHF Day events throughout the country honoring hunting and fishing’s wildlife and fisheries conservation contributions. DU is proud to be a part of this traditional day, one of the most effective campaigns recognizing hunters and anglers and their conservation dedication.

“Hunters and anglers are conservation’s foundation. Their support is crucial to wildlife and fisheries habitat conservation efforts around the world. National Hunting and Fishing Day is a celebration of that spirit and our hunting and fishing heritage,” said DU CEO Adam Putnam. “Thanks to sponsors like Johnny Morris, Wonders of Wildlife, Bass Pro Shops and Ducks Unlimited, that heritage is alive and well and its future is bright. Now as much as ever, society needs the outdoors. Thanks to the steadfast support of our partners like Bass Pro Shops, Ducks Unlimited is restoring and conserving millions of acres of wetlands habitat across North America for everyone to enjoy.”

Official partners for National Hunting and Fishing Day include Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Wonders of Wildlife, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Federation, Izaak Walton League of America, Yamaha, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Hook and Barrel magazine.
