ST. JOHNS, Mich. – March 16, 2020 – Out of an abundance of caution regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, the Ducks Unlimited Maple River Migration Tour scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at Maple River State Game Area has been cancelled.

Nature lovers, birders and waterfowlers are encouraged to visit the public game area at a time when they feel most comfortable. Ducks Unlimited has conserved nearly 800 acres on this vital migration route since 2011 and how this conservation work benefits wildlife of all types.

The event will return in 2021. It is cosponsored by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Michigan United Conservation Clubs, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Pheasants Forever, MI Birds and the Maple River Wildlife Association..
