LAS VEGAS March 14, 2019 Ducks Unlimiteds 33rd annual Ducks in the Desert Las Vegas Continental Shoot wrapped up in late February with 3,076 individual event entries, shattering the old record for participants in the tournament.

Shooters from 27 states and multiple countries took part in the five-day event at the world-class Clark County Shooting Complex in North Las Vegas. Nicolas Berry was crowned the High Overall champion for his winning score of 193 (94-99) in the 200 bird Main Event.

A big thanks to each and every winner and shooter, said Jim Konkel, chair of DUs National Shooting Committee. Because of all the participants, we can continue Ducks Unlimiteds critical habitat work on behalf of our waterfowl and wetlands. Thank you to all sponsors and participants who continue to make this a premiere shooting competition.

In honor of the Ducks in the Desert Shoot, the city of Las Vegas declared Feb. 23, 2019 as Ducks Unlimited Continental Shoot Day and presented Konkel with an official proclamation from Las Vegas City Hall.

Created in 1986, the Las Vegas Shoot annually features more than $75,000 in prizes and included title sponsors Browning Arms, Fiocchi Ammunition, and The Plaza Hotel. Final registration numbers included 800 entries in the main event, 1,094 entries in the sub-gauge rounds, 363 entries in Five Stand, and 432 entries in the Super Sporting category.
