Mallard Bay Outdoors Pledges Support for Ducks Unlimited

LAFAYETTE, La. – April 27, 2022 –Mallard Bay – an outdoor adventure booking service – announced it will help support Ducks Unlimited’s (DU) conservation efforts by underwriting the annual Louisiana DU State Convention with a $20,000 sponsorship. The event, planned for June 10-11 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Lafayette, is a one-of-a-kind experience that features the famous “Roadkill Cook Off” and Saturday evening gala.

Logan Meaux, a finance student at Louisiana State University, founded Mallard Bay Outdoors in 2020 after a terrible booking experience with a hunting outfitter. An avid outdoorsman, Logan wanted to find a way to improve the way people book hunting experiences.

“Much like how DU seeks to improve wetland habitats through strong partnerships, Mallard Bay Outdoors seeks to improve hunting and fishing adventures by partnering with trusted guides, outfitters, and charter captains to ensure a great experience,” Logan said. “Growing up in Louisiana and seeing DU's impressive coastal restoration efforts, showing our support by sponsoring the annual convention seems like the perfect fit.”

The 2022 Louisiana State Convention is shaping up to be one of the best yet. The event is a time of fellowship, education and, of course, a little bit of fun.

“The Roadkill Cook Off is a highlight of the event,” said Kurt Cazayoux, Louisiana State Ducks Unlimited Chairman. “We have cooks from all over Louisiana come to show off their skills. We’ll have waterfowl, venison, alligator, fish…if there is a hunting or fishing season, we will have it!”
