MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Sept. 30, 2019 – Josh Williams was named Ducks Unlimited’s (DU) Regional Director of the Year for his outstanding efforts as a staff member in Region 2, an area that encompasses the Prairies and Great Plains region.

“Working with the volunteers in Kansas and Colorado, Josh had another outstanding fundraising year,” said Greg Dinkel, DU director of fundraising and volunteer relations. “Josh has always been a consistent high performer. This is a testament to the partnership, vision and leadership of the volunteers and staff in Colorado and Kansas.”

Williams, a resident of Grinnell, Kan., covers west Kansas and Eastern Plains Colorado, and works with local volunteer committees hosting fundraisers for the 82-year-old conservation organization. Williams also received the Grand Slam Award – an award given to regional directors who achieve net growth in event income, event attendance, volunteers and existing business, have more new than lost business.

Ducks Unlimited is the leader in wetlands conservation and volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. Through more than 4,000 local fundraising events DU volunteers generate more than 500,000 memberships and more than $72 million annually.
