MEMPHIS, Tenn. - March 11, 2022 - Henry M. Kidd of Raleigh, N.C., was recently elected to Ducks Unlimited's (DU) national board of directors.

"Ducks Unlimited's leadership assures our organization conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl," said DU Chairman Rogers Hoyt Jr.. "Our board members volunteer their time and resources because they are passionate about conservation. I welcome each new board member and look forward to working with them for years to come."

Kidd has a long history with DU beginning in 1986 as a Raleigh, N.C., chapter committee volunteer, making 2022 his 35th year of fundraising as a volunteer. He moved to Raleigh after college with the aspiration of meeting duck hunters and becoming involved with DU. As time went on, he became involved with DU at the state level and attended DU's national conventions. He most recently served as the North Carolina DU (NCDU) State Chairman. As the State Sponsor Chairman, Kidd implemented several programs that helped chapters contribute significant funds to NCDU.

"I am honored to be a member of the DU Board of Directors," Kidd said. "I am a Regional Vice-President for Region 7 and assist three states - Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia. I'm looking forward to being on the Board and helping further our DU mission any way I can."

Kidd and his wife Amanda have been attending DU's national conventions together for 15 years. They have made great friends across the country and look forward to seeing them each year. He and Amanda have been the mentors for the Broughton High School Chapter - the second oldest varsity chapter in the country - for many years. They have two sons, Matt (29) and Will (24), who were both Broughton High School Chapter leaders. Henry Kidd helped form the North Carolina State College Chapter, which hosts the largest event every year in North Carolina and is one of the top collegiate programs in the country.
