South Dakota Ducks Unlimited (DU) is inviting volunteers, members, and supporters to hear about DU's recent conservation work and celebrate fundraising and habitat successes at the group's 2024 state convention, January 26-27, 2024, at the Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center in Oacoma, South Dakota.

Presenters at the Saturday brunch will talk about DU's conservation work in South Dakota, issues facing waterfowl and wildlife in the state, and why DU staff is interested in working with landowners to restore, enhance and protect important habitats. They'll also cover one of DU's more exciting programs, the Soil Health Initiative—an innovative effort to promote soil health improvement practices that benefit both agricultural producers and wildlife, including waterfowl. Also joining the conservation panel will be Laura Kahler with the South Dakota Grasslands Initiative to provide an overview of their mission and recent accomplishments.

Saturday evening will feature a more formal reception with a live auction and a presentation from keynote speaker Tammi Kircher, DU's Flyway Senior VP.

DU has invested nearly $100 million in South Dakota since the early 1980s, and its efforts have enhanced wildlife habitat for waterfowl, pheasants, deer, and countless other species of wildlife and fish. Similarly, residents throughout the state have benefited from DU's improvements to water quality and soil conservation and the recreational opportunities that underscore the state's great quality of life.

Please join us in Oacoma to celebrate everything that's been accomplished in South Dakota! Visit www.SDDucks.org for more information or to reserve your tickets.
