MEMPHIS, Tenn. Sept. 30, 2019 Bob Butler was named Ducks Unlimiteds (DU) Regional Director of the Year for his outstanding efforts as a staff member in Region 4, an area that encompasses Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee and Louisiana.

Bob has been with DU for over 20 years, said Jeff Lawrence, DU director of fundraising and volunteer relations. He has tremendous rapport with his volunteers and strong leadership skills that show in his accomplishments this past year and throughout his career.

Butler, a resident of Bryant, Ark., covers south Arkansas and works with local volunteer committees hosting fundraisers for the 82-year-old conservation organization. Butler also received the Sustained Growth and Grand Slam Awards. The Sustained Growth Award is achieved by recording budget income growth in three consecutive fiscal years. The Grand Slam Award is given to regional directors who achieve net growth in event income, event attendance, volunteers and existing business and have more new than lost business.

DU is the leader in wetlands conservation and volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. Through more than 4,000 local fundraising events DU volunteers generate more than 500,000 memberships and more than $72 million annually.
