MEMPHIS, Tenn. Sept. 30, 2019 Dave Weber was named Ducks Unlimiteds (DU) Regional Director of the Year for his outstanding efforts as a staff member in Region 1, an area that encompasses the West Coast and Alaska.

Senior Regional Director Dave Weber and the volunteers from the state of Alaska had a very successful fiscal year. They focused on event efficiency, attendance and building relationships throughout the communities in Alaska, said Tim Fehringer, DU director of fundraising and volunteer relations. By adding new events and building existing business, successes were consistent across the state.

Weber, a resident of Anchorage, Alaska, covers the state of Alaska and works with local volunteer committees hosting fundraisers for the 82-year-old conservation organization.

Ducks Unlimited is the leader in wetlands conservation and volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. Through more than 4,000 local fundraising events DU volunteers generate more than 500,000 memberships and more than $72 million annually.
