A Win for Conservation

Ducks Unlimited extends its sincere gratitude to the more than 219,000 individuals who answered the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s request for information regarding the calculation of drain tile setbacks around wetland easements. Your overwhelming response sent a clear and unmistakable message: conserving vital waterfowl habitat remains a priority for America’s hunters, conservationists, landowners, and outdoor enthusiasts.

We thank every supporter, conservation partner, outfitter, and advocate who took the time to make their voice heard. Because of your engagement, these critical landscapes in North America's most productive duck breeding and migration regions will continue to receive the protection they deserve.

This achievement reflects the power of a united conservation community and demonstrates what is possible when people come together to protect our shared natural heritage. We are proud of what we accomplished together and grateful for your commitment to wetlands, waterfowl, and the future of waterfowling.

Ducks Unlimited looks forward to continuing its work with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to keep the covenant between duck hunters and the future generations of waterfowl and waterfowlers who depend on the prairie potholes for North America’s ducks and geese.
