Purpose: To enhance 772 acres of important waterfowl habitat on Mahannah WMA through installation of water control structures and construction of external levees. This project provides valuable foraging habitat to migrating and wintering waterfowl near the Yazoo River. Mallards, pintails, green-winged teal, and wood ducks will be the primary waterfowl species that benefit from this project.
