Tulsa, Okla. – June 24, 2020 – Richard Godfrey of Jenks, Okla., was recently elected to Ducks Unlimited’s national board of directors.

“Ducks Unlimited’s leadership assures our organization conserves, restores and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl,” said DU Board Chairman Rogers Hoyt. “Our board members volunteer their time and resources because they are passionate about conservation. I welcome each new board member and look forward to working with them for years to come.

Godfrey has been a DU volunteer since 2002 with the Tulsa Chapter. He has served as the Tulsa Area Chairman, State Greenwing Chairman, District Chairman, State Council Chairman, State Calendar Chairman and State Chairman during his 18-year tenure with Ducks Unlimited.

Ducks Unlimited’s dedication to putting conservation on the ground is why I have dedicated almost two decades to the organization,” Godfrey said. “I have believed in DU’s mission since the beginning and I’m honored to have been chosen as one the newest members of the board.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Godfrey is self-employed in the building construction industry. Richard resides in Jenks, Okla., with his wife Paige and two daughters.

For the first time in DU history, board member elections were conducted virtually due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Officers and new members will be recognized during DU’s annual convention in September.
