Lichenstein elected to DU board of directors

Long time volunteer Nick Lichenstein elected to Ducks Unlimited's national board of directors

Schriever, La. – June 25, 2020 – Nick Lichenstein, of Schriever, La. was recently elected to Ducks Unlimited’s national board of directors.

“Ducks Unlimited’s leadership assures our organization conserves, restores and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl,” said DU Board Chairman Rogers Hoyt. “Our board members volunteer their time and resources because they are passionate about conservation. I welcome each new board member and look forward to working with them for years to come."

Lichenstein began his DU volunteer career 22 years ago in 1999. His outstanding leadership has been rewarded with many high-level positions at both the area and state level in Louisiana. Those includes State Policy Chairman, State Treasurer, State Chairman and State Council Chairman.

“Ducks Unlimited’s dedication to putting conservation on the ground is why I have dedicated more than two decades to the organization,” Lichenstein said. “I have believed in DU’s mission since the beginning and I’m honored to have been chosen as one of the newest members of the board.”

Lichenstein and his wife Courtney live in Schriever, LA., with their three children. Lichenstein is a graduate of Nichols State University where he received an MBA in Business Administration and he works as the controller at Eagle Energy Services, LLC.

For the first time in DU history, board member elections were conducted virtually due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Officers and new members will be recognized during DU’s annual convention in September.
