BOZEMAN, Mont., May 13, 2020-Agricultural producers in Blaine, Phillips and Valley counties have until June 12, 2020, to apply for financial assistance for conservation practices through the Natural Resources Conservation Service&squo;s (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). Producer applications must focus on improving wildlife habitat, soil quality and water quality.

The Ducks Unlimited Prairie Pothole Region Working Lands RCPP project gives producers an opportunity to manage their working lands in a way that is compatible with agricultural production and good stewardship. The program is funded through the Conservation Stewardship Program to restore and enhance wetland and grassland habitat and improve the management of working lands for agricultural production, while minimizing impacts to natural resources.

The NRCS RCPP program provides funding for partnership projects between public and private entities, local communities and nongovernmental organizations.
