Regional Director - Kentucky
POSITION:
Ducks Unlimited Regional Director for Kentucky. The chosen candidate will start as soon as mutually agreed.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Regional Directors duties and responsibilities encompass the management of all facets of grassroots fundraising within the region including:
- Recruitment and training of volunteers
- Managing the volunteer efforts in support of Ducks Unlimited fundraising events
- Fostering growth within the region with emphasis on new chapter development; internal growth within existing committees; identification and development of non-traditional fundraising opportunities and major donor identification and management
- Coordination and collaboration with Kentucky Fundraising Team and Senior Volunteers
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be self-motivated and eager to accept challenging goals. Volunteer experience with Ducks Unlimited or similar organizations will benefit candidates. BA or BS required, resource background preferred. This position requires an aptitude for building and managing relationships with a very diverse group of volunteers and an emphasis on effective verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be able to work with proficiency on a personal computer with basic skills in MS Office applications and have a working familiarity with the Internet. The successful candidate will be required to develop computer skills specific to Ducks Unlimited, Inc.’s standardized information systems. Candidates must be willing to work hours that extend outside of the typical workday and workweek throughout the year, including extensive auto travel. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the region.
