Great Lakes/Atlantic Regional Office
Dynamic conservationist sought to lead accomplished team of professionals in delivery of conservation programs for the Great Lakes and northern Atlantic states. Position will involve conservation planning, program delivery, fund raising, and providing leadership to and coordination with partners, volunteers, and staff region-wide.
Candidates should have solid organizational skills, be excellent at oral and written communication, be willing to empower and motivate staff and volunteers, have demonstrated collaborative, decision-making capabilities, and be ready to work with a broad diversity of partners. Must have knowledge of wetlands and waterfowl conservation. Individual will lead extensive public gift fund-raising efforts, work closely with Development staff to secure private major gifts, and coordinate with senior grassroots fund-raising staff region-wide. Will serve as a member of national executive staff and national conservation team.
A minimum of B.S. degree in a conservation field or field that would prepare the person for this conservation job is required. An advanced degree is preferred. Individual should have 10+ years of experience in conservation with proven leadership capabilities. Extensive travel required.
