This week we are hunting in my home state of Arkansas at the Snake Island Duck Club, Harper said. Its a special hunt for us because we are hunting with two DU Varsity members. These boys are very active in their high school chapters. I got involved with Ducks Unlimited when I was in college. Its neat for me to see these boys getting involved at such a young age. In high school, I heard about Ducks Unlimited, but it wasnt something I knew I could be involved in at the time.

Tyrone credits Ducks Unlimited with helping him become a local conservation leader.

Jumping from a volunteer to a chairman position, Ive gained experience in leadership by meeting people and showing them how to do things and what to do, Tyrone said. Its been awesome to gain that experience as a leader. What todays world needs is new leaders, especially in the conservation effort. Its been awesome to just get out there and help.

Berry said the pairs rivalry is just friendly competition.

Its nothing negative, Berry grinned. Owen and I are both fighting for the same cause. We are raising money for the ducks and a little healthy challenge here and there never hurts.

Robinson challenges Berry and Tyrone to keep the rivalry going.

Playing these two guys off each other is what keeps them going on the DU Varsity level, Robinson said. These guys are leaders and I want to keep challenging them to be leaders, not only in Ducks Unlimited, but in their communities. Thats what its all about.

Also on DU TV this week: DU CEO Dale Hall explains what you can do to help stop declining hunter numbers. DU Magazine Shotgun Columnist Phil Bourjaily talks about when to use a gun sling and Retriever Trainer Mike Stewart shows you how to train your dog find lost birds.
