Memphis, Tenn. - September 20, 2017 - Ben Vaughn was named Ducks Unlimited's (DU) Regional Director of the Year for his outstanding efforts as a staff member in Region 6, an area that encompasses Mid-Atlantic and New England states.

"Ben has been a member of the Delaware DU team for just over two years," said Joe Rowan, DU director of fundraising and volunteer relations. "During this time, Ben's efforts have played a key role in the fundraising growth and accomplishments in the First State. For the first time, Delaware Ducks Unlimited reached the million dollar mark in event fundraising in 2018 and Ben's strong relationships and guidance proved an integral part in making it happen."

Vaughn, a resident of Smyrna, Del., works with volunteer committees hosting fundraisers for the 81-year-old conservation organization. Vaughn also received awards for $100,000 Growth Club and Million Dollar Club - an award given to event fundraising staff who raise $1 million or more.

DU is the leader in wetlands conservation and volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization. Through more than 4,000 local fund-raising events DU volunteers generate more than 500,000 memberships and more than $65 million annually.
