MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Oct. 6, 2020 - Ducks Unlimited (DU) announced today that Darin Blunck, DU's Director of Conservation Programs, has been named DU's new chief financial officer beginning immediately.

"Darin has more than 20 years of service with Ducks Unlimited and has excellent working knowledge of our business operations. This experience makes him the right choice to lead DU's financial team," said DU CEO Adam Putnam. "Darin has done a tremendous job as interim CFO for the past few months, and we are confident his leadership will help DU continue to shine, even as we navigate through challenging times."

Blunck's career has centered on the finance and operations side of DU's habitat delivery business. He brings extensive experience in budgeting and forecasting, managing DU's land and easement portfolio, and navigating the administrative complexities of the $100 million in annual funding DU receives from government grants and partnerships.

Darin has a wildlife degree from South Dakota State University and a master's degree in Environmental Science from Indiana University.

As CFO, Blunck will oversee day-to-day finance operations for Ducks Unlimited, as well as the auditing and reporting functions for the organization. He will also play an important role in overseeing budgets, developing administrative and financial strategies, and guiding the organization's financial planning and execution into the future.

"I am honored and humbled to be named CFO and have the opportunity to lead a best-in-class finance team," Blunck said. "This year has been challenging for all of us, but thanks to our volunteers, our supporters and staff, DU continues to innovate and deliver on our promise of conserving wetlands and waterfowl habitat in priority landscapes throughout North America. I am proud to be part of this great organization."
