MEMPHIS, Tenn. – July 24, 2018 – This week on Ducks Unlimited TV, co-host Ashley Ward and crew head for Colorado to hunt with Ducks Unlimited Volunteers Josh and Cricket Montague, DU Past President Pete Coors and numerous volunteers and staff responsible for the success of the annual DU fundraising banquet in Denver.

“I’ve never hunted out here in Colorado. I’ve never even been out here in this state,” Ward said. “So I was really looking forward to seeing the different kinds of terrain we would be hunting. It’s been cool to see how the birds migrate through this area and what an important pathway this is for them.”
Josh and Cricket Montague volunteer for Ducks Unlimited to help preserve wetland habitats for future generations.
“There’s going to come a day when our hunting opportunities aren’t as ample as they are right now,” Josh Montague said. “There is definitely a way to preserve (those opportunities). That is why we choose to stand behind Ducks Unlimited to preserve a lot of these places. We need people to commit to that idea so we will have plenty of wetlands for ducks and future generations.”
Coors is another volunteer who realizes the importance of clean water for waterfowl and people.
“It’s an interesting thing. Water has always been a critical factor for us because we are in the beer business,” he said. “Without water, we couldn’t brew beer. In order to have good water and quality water, we have to protect it. Protecting wildlife habitat is a marvelous way of being sure we have the kind of water protected that’s great for everybody.”
Also on DU TV this week: DU CEO Dale Hall explains why duck hunters should care about the Farm Bill. And DU Magazine Shotgun Columnist Phil Bourjaily shows you an effective way to shoot crossing targets.
