Hey guys,
I just got a new 870 Super Mag and have been looking for some chokes for ducks and dove. Ive heard a few brand names tossed around like "Kicks High Flyer' and "Carlson" chokes, any thought on these chokes would be great. Ive never had to worry about chokes because my dove gun is a Browning Light 12 that was made before the world even knew what a choke tube was
Thanks
-Matt

Why are you looking for chokes? The factory chokes should be more than adequate unless you don't have them??

It only came with a modified cylinder, and my friends have been trying to convince me that after market chokes make a big difference. I told them if i pull a trigger on a duck, its going get killed by me, not my chokes.

In that case I would just buy the factory Remchokes for whatever constriction you need. Sounds like your friends have become victims of marketing hype when it comes to choke tubes. The only aftermarket tubes I buy are for turkeys, as that is a very specific application and most guns don't come with them. I do occasionally buy extended tubes for waterfowl just so my muzzle doesn't get mucked up, but performance wise, you'd be fooling yourself to believe it makes any real difference.
