Millborn Seeds and DU Expand Prairie Partnership

The partnership is an important part of DU’s efforts to accelerate regenerative agriculture programs

Ducks Unlimited recently extended a five-year partnership with Millborn Seeds, a respected leader in cover crops, livestock forage, and native grass seed based in Brookings, South Dakota. The partnership is an important part of DU’s efforts to accelerate regenerative agriculture programs by working with producers and other agribusiness leaders.

“We are dedicated to leading a land-use movement and promoting conservation practices to increase wildlife habitat and wetland preservation,” says Matt Fenske, president and CEO of Millborn Seeds.

Under this partnership, DU biologists and agronomists work closely with Millborn’s professional team to provide technical and financial assistance to private landowners in the Dakotas and Montana who are interested in soil health, livestock production, and wildlife conservation.

“Together, we share a common vision to promote sustainable and profitable agriculture while conserving critical wildlife habitat,” says Eric Lindstrom, DU’s managing director of development in the Great Plains Region. “As Diamond Legacy Sponsors and visionary conservation leaders, Millborn is providing generous support, expertise, and valued partnership that is crucial to DU’s mission in the region.”

Fenske adds: “We’re excited to extend our partnership with DU and look forward to continued growth and collaboration for years to come.”
