2020 DU National Convention message regarding COVID-19

Dear Convention Attendee,

With coronavirus (COVID-19) as one of today's leading news stories, and with some high-profile events cancelling across Europe over the past few days, we know many in our DU community are asking questions about this year's National Convention in Orlando, May 27-30.

The DU team continues to plan confidently for a first-class convention. We currently have NO plans to postpone or cancel DU's 83rd annual convention. We remain watchful but are focused on delivering an impactful and entertaining convention.

COVID-19 is presenting the travel and events industry with an unprecedented global challenge. Our team is monitoring this ever-changing situation and is mindful of the negative long-term impact of speculation, panic and over-reaction, while keeping the concerns of our attendees in the forefront of our thoughts and planning.

We are grateful for the ongoing support of our members who continue to register for convention and book their rooms. This helps us in our planning. Please be aware, your hotel rooms may be cancelled up to three days prior to arrival. Additionally, we will refund your registration in full up until the event.

There is no roadmap for what we are faced with today. The best we can do is move forward with our plans and adjust if necessary. We are confident we will see you in Orlando in May, but want you to know, as our best assets, we are taking your health and welfare into consideration at every move.

As we have additional information to share, we will be in contact.

As always, we are grateful for all you do for DU!
