With coronavirus (COVID-19) dominating the news cycle over the past several weeks, I wanted to take a moment and assure you that the DU leadership team is doing everything possible to ensure all members of Team DU remain healthy, productive and mission-focused. To that end, DU volunteers and staff have drafted a Preparedness and Response plan to make sure we're ready for any situation.
The welfare and safety of our volunteers, members and supporters is our top priority. As many of you know, late yesterday afternoon the CDC issued guidance that all events of greater than 50 people be suspended for 8 weeks. Ducks Unlimited will adhere to this direction and effective immediately, all scheduled fundraising events and gatherings of 50 or more people through Sunday, May 10, will be postponed. Please check your state event web page or contact your event chair and/or local DU staff for rescheduling information.
These are tough times and I know there is a lot of negativity everywhere we look. That said, this too shall pass, and we will continue to accomplish our conservation mission. In the meantime, we ask that you follow the recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control to help prevent the spreading of communicable diseases, including COVID-19.

Thank you again for everything you do, and will continue to do for the ducks. I hope everyone remains safe and vigilant as we overcome this health crisis together.
