CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION – DONOR PRIVACY
It is understood that member information is collected through the DU Website, DU events and DU social media based upon information provided by the member. As such, it is the responsibility of each Director, Trustee, National Officer, State Officer, Area Chair, Committee and Chapter members, and volunteers who receive such information as listed below, to treat such information and the information contained therein as confidential and proprietary information of Ducks Unlimited:
- Ducks Unlimited membership lists and/or mailing labels;
- Copy(ies) of this Operating Manual and its respective updates;
- Names, addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers of DU members, volunteers and its employees;
- All other sources of information containing portions, or all, of the information listed above.
Under no circumstances may such lists, mailing labels and/or other information be made public, sold, exchanged for "in kind" services, nor given or provided to any organization, company or person for any purpose without the express written consent of the President of Ducks Unlimited.
While it is further understood that DU uses this information to tailor offers, educate and provide information of interest to its members, DU reserves the right to share the information with its corporate partners, and other interested third parties provided that, at the sole discretion of the President, the sharing of this information is to the benefit of the individual member and/or the membership-at-large.
It is emphasized that the protection of this information is paramount to the President, Board and Staff of DU. Likewise, DU is committed to honor any member's right to opt-out (by contacting DU at 1-800-45-DUCKS), should he or she wish to not have this information provided to anyone except those people/entities in direct conjunction with DU.
