Is there a way for you to ensure that Ducks Unlimited will always be there to help lead wetlands and waterfowl conservation across the continent? The answer is a resounding yes. By making a gift to DU's permanent endowment, you can make a long-term investment in the future of wetlands and waterfowl-and leave a lasting legacy for your children and grandchildren.
As a very young man, Logan Montgomery "Monty" Lewis Jr. was blessed to have been introduced to hunting and fishing by his grandfathers, Joseph Foster Lewis and George Patterson Faulkner. These veteran sportsmen taught him to be patient and enjoy the experience of being outdoors in addition to the harvest. They also instilled in him a strong conservation ethic. They loved their land and wanted to be good stewards of its wildlife and other natural resources. They set an example that served as a model for Monty's lifetime of conservation support as a landowner and sportsman.
That's why he created the Monty Lewis Fund for Waterfowl Conservation. "I established this fund in honor of all my fellow volunteers, mentors, family members, and like-minded conservationists to perpetuate my steadfast belief in wetlands conservation as well as my passion for waterfowl and dedication to the mission of Ducks Unlimited," Monty said. "I hope others will be motivated to join me in leaving a living legacy so that we may remain a part of these efforts long after we are gone. A volunteer can leave no deeper footprints than to provide for the future financial strength of Ducks Unlimited."
