Outagamie State Wildlife Area
DU is assisting the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to restore 50 acres of wetland on the Outagamie State Wildlife Area in Outagamie County. The project entails renovating of 2,000’ of dike, constructing 2,100’ of new dike and installing a new water control structure. This project will allow managers to manipulate water levels to control invasive vegetation and promote beneficial emergent and submersed plant communities to maximize habitat values for waterfowl and other wildlife.
