After 18 years of delivering on-the-ground waterfowl habitat conservation and completing more than 1,800 projects in Wisconsin, Ducks Unlimited last year surpassed the 100,000-acre milestone for waterfowl habitat conserved in the Badger State.

This remarkable accomplishment occurred at Meadow Valley Wildlife Area in Juneau County, where DU, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the North American Wetlands Conservation Council enhanced 600 acres of emergent wetlands in the Meadow Valley Flowage. DU and the Wisconsin DNR are now discussing plans to host a celebration of this showcase project early this summer.
