Baton Rouge, La. – Jan. 23, 2014 – The Louisiana Ducks Unlimited 2014 Leadership Meeting is scheduled for Saturday February 22nd at the Clarion Inn Conference Center located at 1500 W Hwy 30, Gonzales, LA from 9:00am - 2:00pm. The Clarion Inn Conference Center is located just off of I-10 and less than a mile from Cabela’s and Tanger Outlet Mall in Gonzales, Louisiana.

The Louisiana State Executive Committee of Ducks Unlimited is encouraging every Chapter in Louisiana to be represented. The Leadership Meeting is open to all current and prospective DU volunteers and anyone desiring to learn more about Louisiana Ducks Unlimited. The Leadership Meeting will celebrate the success of Ducks Unlimited in 2013 and mark the path for 2014. It is a time for DU volunteers to meet and share information with committees from across Louisiana.

The Leadership Meeting is free to attend but registration is required. Additional Conference and registration details can be found by locating the event at www.ducks.org/louisiana/events.

According to Ducks Unlimited 2013 Louisiana State Chairman Stephen Gauthier, "Leadership Meeting is a great way to start the year.  New information and programs are communicated that benefit the attending volunteers and increases their level of success with future events."

The Leadership Meeting will begin Saturday at 9:00am. Louisiana Regional Directors will be communicating ideas and new DU tools available to help volunteers grow their committee and help them experience even greater success with future DU events. The Louisiana State Committee will be sharing goals and opportunities available for DU volunteers in 2014. A few guest speakers will be on hand to provide additional expertise and new information from DU.

"I look forward to a great 2014.  Leadership Meeting allows us to review where we've been and put our objectives in place for 2014.  This is the kick-off for my year as State Chairman", said Michael Patterson, current 2014 Louisiana State Chairman, Ducks Unlimited.  "We've increased our dollars and membership the past few years.  We will target continued increases this year as well and need everyone onboard."

For early arrivals, activities will kick off Friday February 21st with some great food and drinks in the Hospitality Suite at the Clarion Inn Conference Center. In addition, a DU Sportsman’s Night Out (SNO) event is scheduled at Cabela’s for Friday night. Early birds will have the option of enjoying hospitality at the Clarion Inn or heading over to Cabela’s for the SNO event. If you have never been to a SNO event, think “raffles” and lots of hunting, fishing and outdoor merchandise. The SNO event is a separate activity from the Leadership Meeting and a ticket will be required. For tickets locate the event online at www.ducks.org/louisiana/events.
