ST. LOUIS – March 4, 2014 – Did you know wetlands support more than 900 species of wildlife, many of them threatened or endangered, in addition to providing us with clean water and flood protection? Join Ducks Unlimited for the upcoming 15th annual Wetlands for Kids Day and you and your children can learn even more about wetlands through engaging hands-on activities and demonstrations.

Wetlands conservation highlighted at FFA National Convention

Ducks Unlimited attended the 2013 FFA National Convention and Expo in Louisville, Ky., during the week of Halloween. The gathering was very large, with 55,000 people from all 50 states and territories pouring into the city to celebrate youth leadership.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Aug. 5, 2013 – Children 16 and under are invited to join Ducks Unlimited for a free youth waterfowl hunting clinic on Friday, Aug. 16, at 8:30 a.m. This is the sixth year for the event, and children who have been waterfowl hunting are encouraged to bring a friend who has not.

Timberlake Ranch Habitat Project

Camp organizers approached Ducks Unlimited for help because they were able to use only a small portion of the property due to overgrowth of dense red cedar trees and silted-in sloughs. They were looking for restoration assistance so they could use more of the land for educational purposes and diversify their activities. The camp and DU recognized the opportunity to restore valuable habitat for ducks but, more importantly, expose more children to fun and engaging outdoor education involving wetlands and wildlife.

Ducks Unlimited hosts youth waterfowl hunting clinic Sept. 7 and 8

BISMARCK, N.D. – Aug. 13, 2012 – Children 16 and under are invited to join Ducks Unlimited for a free youth waterfowl hunting clinic on Friday, Sept. 7, at 3:30 p.m. This is the fourth year for the annual event, and children who have duck hunted before are encouraged to bring a friend who has not.
