Tom Moorman to lead Ducks Unlimited conservation in Southern Region

RIDGELAND, Miss. – Oct. 1, 2013 – Tom Moorman, Ph.D., has been selected to replace the retiring Curtis Hopkins, Ph.D., as director of operations for Ducks Unlimited's Southern Region. Moorman will oversee DU's conservation delivery in 13 states.

Farm bill’s conservation programs of particular importance to DU’s Southern Region

The majority of lands in the United States are privately owned, and this is especially true for Ducks Unlimited’s Southern Region, which encompasses 13 states from Florida to New Mexico and Virginia to Oklahoma. DU and our partners work closely with farmers, ranchers and other private landowners across the region to promote working lands and achieve our conservation mission.

Ducks Unlimited scientist receives national award

RIDGELAND, Miss. - Oct. 17, 2012 - Tom Moorman, Ph.D., Ducks Unlimited director of science and public policy, has won The Wildlife Society's (TWS) 2012 Jim McDonough Award. Moorman received the award at the TWS annual conference in Portland, Ore., on Monday, Oct. 15.
