Wetland restoration project dedicated to Mississippi youths

ROLLING FORK, Miss. – Oct. 30, 2015 – More than 100 Mississippi youths have their name engraved on a plaque at Howard Miller Wildlife Management Area near Rolling Fork. They are Ducks Unlimited Legacy Greenwing members, and their support provided partial funding for the recently completed restoration work on the WMA.

Louisiana Project Dedicated to John Barton Sr.

Ducks Unlimited partnered with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries to restore wetland habitat on the South Farm Unit of the Sherburne Waterfowl Management Area (WMA). This project will provide new opportunities for public waterfowl hunting and wildlife watching and will improve habitat management capabilities on this WMA.

Waterfowl and Hunters to Benefit from Game Land Enhancement

Across the state of North Carolina, some 2 million acres are managed by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) for public hunting, trapping, and inland fishing. These areas are known collectively as "game lands." Ducks Unlimited recently began working to enhance 593 acres of waterfowl habitat on the Butner–Falls of Neuse Game Land near Raleigh.
