DU’s carbon offset program awarded two USDA grants

BISMARCK, N.D. – Oct. 21, 2015 – Ducks Unlimited received two grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to further carbon market development in the Prairie Pothole Region (PPR).

Ducks Unlimited announces mitigation bank credits for sale

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – August 25, 2014 – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Memphis District recently released the first Mount Tena Creek Mitigation Bank wetland credits. The bank, located in southern Fayette County, will help offset unavoidable environmental impacts to wetlands throughout the Memphis area.

Great Plains Region

The Great Plains Region, headquartered in Bismarck, N.D., was established in 1984 to protect and restore wetlands and grasslands in the United States Great Plains. Today, the GPR carries out conservation programs in seven states that include some of the most important nesting and migration habitat on the continent.

The Plains Carbon Dioxide Reduction Partnership

The PCOR Partnership is a collaborative effort of over 80 public and private stakeholders working toward a better understanding of the technical and economic feasibility of capturing and storing carbon dioxide emissions from the central interior of North America.
