Five Florida Ducks Unlimited chapters make Top 100

ORLANDO, Fla. – April 3, 2014 – The Top 100 is one of the most highly sought-after titles of recognition Ducks Unlimited offers to its local chapters. Each year, the list is comprised of the top 100 fundraising chapters in the United States that raise up to $100,000 through fundraising activities in their communities. Through the efforts of these volunteer committees DU is able to pursue its mission of conserving, enhancing and restoring North America's wetlands. In 2013 five Florida chapters made the Top 100 list as one of the organization's best fundraising chapters.

Tampa Bay 100 Ducks Unlimited chapter No. 3 in the nation

Tampa, Fl. – April 3, 2014 – The President's Elite are among Ducks Unlimited's most prestigious volunteer chapters throughout the nation. Every year, the list is reserved for the chapters that raise $100,000 or more for DU's habitat conservation work. In 2013, the Tampa Bay 100 chapter came in third on the list of the organization's best fundraising chapters.

Lafayette Ducks Unlimited chapter No. 2 in the nation

Central Valley Joint Venture Partners Receive Conservation Awards

Two longtime members of California's Central Valley Joint Venture (CVJV) were recently honored for their contributions to wetlands and waterfowl conservation under the North American Waterfowl Management Plan (NAWMP). DU recognizes DNR Wildlife Manager Randy Markl

LAMBERTON, Minn. – Dec. 21, 2012 – Minnesota DNR wildlife professional Randy Markl was recognized recently for his many years of dedication to wetlands and waterfowl conservation with Ducks Unlimited's 2012 Minnesota Conservation Partner of the Year award. The award was presented to Markl at a DNR southern regional wildlife staff meeting by Jon Schneider, DU manager of conservation programs for Minnesota.

David Maass wins record-breaking fourth DU Artist of the Year award

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Dec. 3, 2012 - Wildlife artist David Maass of Long Lake, Minn., is Ducks Unlimited's 2013 Artist of the Year (AOY). His winning painting, "Pitching into Cypress," earned Maass his fourth AOY award, more than any other artist.

Each Year Ducks Unlimited (DU) recognizes the Top Ten states around the country for their efforts through the National State Awards Program. In 2010, under the leadership of Tom Shryock, Missouri Ducks Unlimited received the Bronze Level Comprehensive State Award.

MDC Contributes $5 Million to Waterfowl Conservation

With this year's state grant program contribution of $250,000, the Missouri Department of Conservation reached the $5 million mark for donations to waterfowl breeding grounds in Canada. With the support of MDC during the past five years, Ducks Unlimited conserved, enhanced and restored 235,059 acres of prime breeding habitat and positively influenced an additional 1.2 million acres.
