Chicago DU 75th Anniversary Gala Auction Items

Below is a listing of some of the great items that will be auctioned during our 75th Anniversary Gala celebrating conservation for generations and the legacy of waterfowling in the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest.

2. The Browning-Minnesota Ultimate Sporting Experience 

You are bidding on a Browning Cynergy sporting shotgun and a three person duck and pheasant hunt at Rice Creek Hunt Club in Little Falls, MN for two days, one night. This hunt package includes a 12 bird pheasant and duck hunt, with bird cleaning, three rounds of sporting clays, hunting guide, and all meals. Rice Creek Game Preserve is one of the upper Midwest's best. Additional birds, days, and hunters may be added at published rates.

3. Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Tribute Henry Golden Boy
In celebration and recognition of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, the Henry Repeating Arms Company is pleased to present the Lincoln Bicentennial Tribute Golden Boy Rifle .22 LR. This rifle is produced in a limited run of only 2009 rifles to commemorate one of the world's most revered Americans. The Henry Rifle is an historic piece of Americana. On the right side of the receiver amidst the scroll is a cameo portrait of Abraham Lincoln and two sets of banners with the name "Abraham Lincoln" and "By the People, For the People."

4. An Original by Anthony Padgett "Opening Day"
We are proud to offer a wonderful piece of original art created by Ducks Unlimited's 2008 Artist of the Year, Anthony Padgett. "Opening Day" shows the excitement is palpable and this lab knows that it is once again time to go to work. It's the opening day of duck season. Image size is 20" x 30." Anthony's accomplishments include being the 2010 Wild Wings Best in Show, 2009 Louisiana Waterfowl Stamp winner, and 2007 Illinois Artist of the Year for Pheasants Forever. Anthony has also created a portrait of George H.W. Bush, Sr., which hangs in the Presidential Library.

5. Abaco Lodge, Bahamas – World Class Bone Fishing

Colonel Sam Colt Sesquicentennial Special Deluxe Presentation Edition 1 of 5000. Issued in 1964. This firearm comes in a walnut presentation case. Included in the case is the book The Arms Collection of Colonel Colt by R.L. Wilson.

7. Central Kansas Outfitters – Triple Crown Hunt
One successful bidder will have the ultimate experience hunting Kansas trophy whitetail, Spring turkeys, Whitefront and Canada geese. The hunts encompass the 2012 or 2013 season. The first of the three hunts is a hunt for Trophy Kansas Whitetail for six days in the 2012 or 2013 season for one hunter. The second hunt for Whitefront and Canada Geese is three days for two hunters in the 2012 or 2013 November season. The Spring turkey hunt is two days for two hunters. Central Kansas Outfitters has been featured on several episodes of the award winning, top-rated waterfowl show, the Fowl Life with Chad Belding which airs in the prime time slot every Sunday evening on the Sportsman Channel.   • 2013 Two-day Kansas Spring Turkey : Two Hunters
  • Bag limit: Two toms per hunter

8. Winchester Model 94 30-30 Rifle & Carbine Set (matched pair)
In 1969 Winchester made available the Theodore Roosevelt Commemorative Rifle and Carbine. Authorized by the Theodore Roosevelt Association, the guns were designed in honor of the 50th anniversary of Roosevelt's death. These collector pieces feature the Winchester model 94 30-30 rifle and carbine with consecutive serial numbers. These firearms are in pristine condition with original boxes and decorative sleeve.

9. Argentinean Dove Hunt for Eight

10. 75th Anniversary Fausti Boutique 12 Gauge Side by Side
Only a handful of these special commemorative shotguns were produced and are only available at select Ducks Unlimited Anniversary events. This magnificent firearm, chambered for 3" shells, has a case colored receiver with side plates, a single trigger, and automatic ejectors. It features a select walnut stock with standard checkering and a red rubber recoil pad. The semi-beavertail foreend and a Prince of Wales grip add to the beauty of this shotgun. It has 28" polished blued barrels with a white front bead sight and comes with three choke tubes (IC, M, F). This firearm is embellished with special Ducks Unlimited engraving featuring gold inlaid oak leaves, gold inlay on the barrel, and gold inlay on the bottom of the receiver with a deluxe hard case. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a gorgeous firearm.

11. African Safari
If your bucket list includes an African safari, then get ready to bid. Leon "Spyker" Joubert and his wife Ilse founded Joubert Pro Hunt in 1999 and made it one of South Africa's premier outfitters. Experience a lifelong dream with this African hunt. This five day African Plains game hunt for two hunters includes trophy fees for two Warthog, two Impala, two Blue Wildebeest, one day of bird hunting, accommodations, beverages, daily laundry, professional hunter, trackers, skinners, field prep and transportation of trophies. The hunt will take place in the Waterberg area of Limpopo Province. Additional days, game, hunters, and non-hunters may be added at the standard rates. Glenn Swanson is a professional artist that works in a variety of mediums, but his specialty is realistic portrayals of birds in flight, which is depicted in this limited bronze sculpture entitled "Touchdown."
