It was another good year on the books for the Hamilton County Chapter. This once-struggling group has now become one of the most dependable in the state of Nebraska.
"The method of success for the Hamilton County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited is its coach-ability," said Pat Baughman, DU senior regional director for Western Nebraska. "The members of this committee and chapter are driven by the need for resources and are passionate about waterfowl."
The constant persistence toward success, face-to-face communication and the relationships the members have with the community have taken the Hamilton County Chapter to great heights.
"This is the rebuilding of a chapter that was once on a downward fall," Baughman said. "They have reversed that trend and recently earned the Gold Citation."
With commitment to what works, the Hamilton County Chapter will strive to earn another Presidential Citation Award in the coming year.
The chapter today is looking better than ever and will be hosting a dinner in October at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds.
