Kathy grew up camping, fishing, hiking, backpacking and falling in love with many wonders of nature. She began painting when she was ten years old and professionally, in 1989, when she won the Missouri Duck Stamp Competition. Her love for wildlife and preservation of the hunting tradition keeps Kathy active in donations of her artwork toward various conservation efforts.
Kathy's accomplishments include seven conservation stamps and prints, 1993 Illinois DU Artist of the Year, 1994 Missouri DU Sponsor Couples China Plate Artist, two‑time winner of the National Wild Turkey Federation's Grand National Art Print Competition and NWTF's 2001 Artist of the Year. Kathy hopes to capture on canvas a portion of God's master artistry for others to enjoy. When she's not painting, Kathy cherishes the moments exploring the outdoors with her two grandchildren, so they too will grow up respecting and loving the wild.
