Houston Event Tops $1 Million for Second Consecutive Year

Under the guidance of Ducks Unlimited district chairman David Koch, area chairman Kris Kuehl and area co-chairman Jeff Blackmore put together an outstanding Houston Wetland Sponsor Council Dinner. The event raised more than $1 million for the ducks for the second year in a row. Council and committee members sold 23 tables at $25,000 each and 270 attendees filled the banquet hall. Half of the attendees received a prize during a special drawing held before dinner. Prizes included leather gun cases, duffle bags, shotguns, cases of shells, and coolers. The live auction featured only six items, including exclusive hunting trips, retriever puppies, and original artwork. The event's two grand prizes were a fully loaded Bad Boy Buggy and an American Luxury Coach truck.
