MEMPHIS, Tenn. April 23, 2018 Wetlands America Trust (WAT) recently elected David Grieve as one of its newest trustees. The WAT board is the land trust arm of Ducks Unlimited (DU) a world leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation. WAT is one of the largest accredited land trusts in the country.

WAT oversees DUs endowment and land holdings, including conservation easements. Not only has WAT been successful with this charge, trustees have individually taken up the mantle to introduce DU and its conservation mission to their friends, family and colleagues.

With his recent philanthropic commitment which supports our highest conservation priories in the West, David joins the ranks as one of Ducks Unlimiteds most generous leaders, said Dan Thiel, WATs chief operating officer. His philanthropic support is an excellent expression of concern for North Americas disappearing wetlands and his confidence in DUs conservation efforts.

Grieve, of Sonoma, Calif., is CEO and founder of A& Ventures and is also the managing partner of Diversified Restaurant Group. Grieve has invested in and developed commercial real estate for more than three decades, and manages a diverse portfolio of nearly 200 retail properties and development investments across 35 states. Grieve also oversees the hospitality division, which currently includes the operation of 190 Taco Bell restaurants, including the flagship Cantina location on the Las Vegas Strip.

Grieve and his wife Kathleen also own a winery that produces Grieve Family Sauvignon Blanc and an estate merlot, along with a Bordeaux blend called Double Eagle. In addition to Ducks Unlimited, David and Kathleen support numerous local and national charities including the Congressional Sportsmans Foundation, Sonoma Valley Hospital, the Taco Bell Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club.

Ducks Unlimited Inc. is the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving North America's continually disappearing waterfowl habitats. Established in 1937, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 14 million acres thanks to contributions from more than a million supporters across the continent. Guided by science and dedicated to program efficiency, DU works toward the vision of wetlands sufficient to fill the skies with waterfowl today, tomorrow and forever.
